Rapak increases russian focus and support
Rapak has strengthened its position in Russia following the establishment of DS Smith Vostok OOO, a subsidiary of DS Smith Plc solely dedicated to the Russian market. The opening of DS Smith Vostok OOO, based in Moscow, will provide a platform for the further development and expansion of Rapak's activities in Russia and the CIS allowing local manufacturing and direct import as well as the ability to invoice in the local currency. Rapak offers a tailored service to customers throughout Russia, where demand continues to grow for bag-in-box as a versatile, efficient and cost-effective packaging format for a number of end markets including wine, dairy, water, soft drinks, and aseptic or ESL filled liquid foods and chemicals. The company has recently secured two major contracts in wine and dairy, and believes its market leading position will continue to grow thanks to the new localised support facilities. |
